The Knoll Family Plus One!
I met Lana 3 years ago, when she hired me to do a newborn shoot with her twin baby boys, Felix and Oscar. A year later, Lana contacted me and told me that she was considering a venture into the wedding photography business and asked if I needed a second shooter. After talking over beer, I immediately felt a connection to Lana. We had a lot in common, and I knew right away that she was hard worker, like myself, so it would be a great fit. We shot many wedding together last year and we made a perfect team. I loved working with Lana!
We shot only a handful of wedding together this year because she went and got pregnant and is expecting her third baby right in the middle of wedding season!
Of course, I’m just kidding! I’m so excited for her and Brad and her boys, and this new little Knoll that is going to come into this world any day now! When she asked to me do maternity photos for her, I was so excited, and then when she told me that she was going to wear a polka-dot bikini and a big red floppy hat, I was like a kid a in a candy store! I think she is the bravest lady I know!! Getting into a bikini while I was pregnant wasn’t even a possibility, but Lana looked amazing!!
We all drove together, and I was delighted to listen Felix and Oscar describe the trip to the beach in full detail, telling me about all the things that they saw out their windows. It’s hard to believe that just a couple years ago I was struggling to get them to go to sleep while I strained to get just one photo with both boys sleeping, or at least one shot where one of them wasn’t crying. Now these sweet, two, almost three year old boys are so full of wonder, and have so much to say.
Needless to say, by the photos, they loved the beach and walking through the water with their mom and dad. It’s amazing watching twins interact, and so cute, when they hold hands while they walk. You can definitely see the twin connection in their photos. They were such good boys while they played with their Dad, and we did Lana’s photos and I know they had a great time at the shoot because the car ride home was much quieter than the ride two hours earlier. I can’t wait to meet the newest member of the Knoll family! I’m so excited for Lana and Brad and soon to be big brothers, Felix and Oscar. Congratulations to you all!!
