I’ve known Heather for over 7 years now. She is a public health nurse for Health Unit, and the first time we met was when she came to my home and she helped me give Liam is first bath at home. She helped me in so many different ways during those first days of Liam’s life when I was questioning my every move, hoping that I was doing everything right for my new baby. It’s a unsettling feeling for some new moms, but Heather was so friendly, knowledgeable, and excited to be around Liam and excited for me and this journey I was about to embark upon. She made me believe that I really do it!! Now, all these years later, I’m elated for Heather because she is now a new mom, and has a beautiful baby girl, Maggie! She is the sweetest little girl. She let up fuss over her and move her all over the place for almost 2 hours!! Maggie is definitely the most tolerant baby that I’ve ever worked with. She’s so cute, and loves people. She’s a smart little thing too, because she’s be smiling at me, and then I’d pick up my camera and her smile would disappear, and after a little while Heather and I realized that she liked the face to face interaction and didn’t want to smile at the big, black, clicking thing in my hands. One thing I like to do with baby shoots is to include an item that can used as a point of reference for how big and quickly babies grow. Maggie was given a moose a present when was she was first born, so we used that as her item that Heather can compare her growth to. Someday, she’ll be able to hold that moose in just one hand and it will show how little she was during these photos!! I loved doing this shoot with Heather and Maggie, and it was so hard to pick which pictures to share, so that is why there are so many here, but I don’t think there is such a thing as too many pictures of this perfect little girl. Thank you Heather, for allowing me to give back to you in a small way, after all that you did for me and my boys years ago. Enjoy your sneak peeks!!
